Our knowledgeable team has extensive experience in the shipping of puppies and is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and pleasant shipping experience for you. Basset Hound puppies are transported by major airlines in pressurized cabins with climate control, and they are flown in a specially designated pet compartment. We are committed to offering exceptional customer service, providing comprehensive flight and tracking information so you can stay connected with your puppy throughout the entire process.
What is our process for shipping our puppies?
Our veterinarian conducts a thorough health examination of your puppy, including a fecal test to ensure the absence of worms or parasites. We only use airlines with a Pet Safety Program for shipping our puppies.
Upon receiving the reservation deposit, we will schedule a delivery appointment (flight) and provide you with an email itinerary containing all relevant details, such as flight times, schedules, tracking AWB, and pick-up information.
On the day of your puppy’s journey, the delivery agency will collect the puppy from our breeding facility, prepare it for delivery, and transport it to the airport. Once all necessary paperwork is completed and the puppy is checked in at the airport, you will receive an email and phone call from the delivery agency with comprehensive flight details. Throughout the day of the flight, we will provide you with continuous updates on the progress of the flight until your puppy safely arrives at your doorstep.
You will also receive a tracking number after the flight confirmation, allowing you to monitor your puppy’s flight progress on the delivery agency’s website.
Our puppies typically depart early in the morning and are delivered later that same day or the following morning if placed on an early flight.
Please note: When purchasing a puppy through our website, it is essential to take the dog to a licensed veterinarian within the first 7 days to ensure its good health; otherwise, our refunds policy will not apply.
When can I expect to receive my puppy?
If the puppy is at least 8 weeks old and has the required medical documentation for shipment, we typically deliver within 6-8 hours on the same day or the following day. Please note that we need at least 2 hours to purchase the airline ticket in order to obtain the best air fares. Therefore, we ask for your patience as we strive to get your puppy to you as quickly as possible.
How are our Basset Hound puppies delivered in the summer?
During the summer, due to the heat embargo for dogs, the only method for delivering your puppy is for one of our staff members to accompany the puppy on a flight and personally deliver it to your nearest airport. The puppy will be placed in a soft crate that fits under the seat on the plane.
When your puppy arrives, it will be in a new airline-approved crate with bedding and food and water bowls. Puppies are transported in a pet-friendly section of the plane, ensuring a safe and controlled environment. Please note that any kenneling fees due to flight cancellations are the responsibility of the recipient.
